- Self-hosted source-based Odoo can use PostgreSQL and custom addons. Community and Enterprise have different licences and feature sets.

Do I need to replace my current POS?
No. We can discuss integration with other POS systems where their APIs and data access permit. Odoo is our planned deeper integration path, not a forced migration.
Is Odoo itself open source?
Odoo Community is open source. Enterprise features have a separate licence. Direct database access and custom addons depend on how the system is hosted and which edition is selected.
Are the BistroApps connections already live?
No. Native Odoo POS features are documented by Odoo; the BistroApps links described here are being planned and must be tested per workflow.
Can the POS work without internet?
Selected POS order work can continue during a temporary outage and sync later. Payment terminals and backend-dependent features are not available offline.
When can I use this?
